Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry-level and experienced Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We provide 100% paid training and equip you with basic skills to succeed in our outdoor, independent role.

You will work with a tablet to document tickets, read maps/blueprints, and locate utilities using specialized equipment. We offer a company vehicle, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs; assist with heavier lifts with tools.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Read maps and blueprints to determine the locating sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Document tickets and emails on a tablet.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
• Work with a flexible schedule to support ticket volume and emergencies.
