Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We train on the job and provide basic skills through 100% paid training. You must enjoy outdoor work, work independently and solve problems quickly and accurately.

Offers include pay at $23.50/hour, company vehicle with fuel card, PTO/holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and 401(k) with company match. Flexible schedule and on-call rotations are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Physical ability to lift 25 lbs and carry 5 lbs of equipment; lifting with aids up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First in daily work.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and homeowners.
