Job summary

USIC is seeking outdoor-focused locators for full-time field work, locating underground utilities with company vehicles and modern equipment. You will mark locations, document findings, and photograph each locate, supporting safe, accurate infrastructure work nationwide.

No prior locating experience is required, but candidates with related field experience are encouraged to apply. We offer a strong training program, growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Able to read, understand locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
