Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking outdoor-oriented team members to perform utility locate work. You will locate and mark underground lines, document findings, and photograph each locate while adhering to safety standards.

No prior locating experience is required, and extensive training is provided. This is a daytime, full-time role with overtime and on-call opportunities, using a company vehicle and tech tools to ensure accurate mark-outs for excavators and property owners.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently across designated areas.
• Thoroughly search for utilities, accurately mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
