Job summary

USIC is hiring field locators to identify and mark underground utilities across our service areas. This full-time role involves outdoor work, driving a company vehicle, and independent field duties with safe, accurate locate practices.

You will receive comprehensive training, work with ticket and map systems, and advance through our CPP program. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs required; overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology and field data collection.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities accurately and safely in designated areas.
• Mark locations, complete required documentation, and photograph each locate.
