Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking Drop Bury Technicians to accurately locate underground utilities and perform safe burying of coax and fiber optic cables at residential or commercial sites.

The role requires working outdoors, driving a company vehicle, and using locating equipment. Training is provided, with comprehensive benefits and strong safety emphasis across a nationwide service footprint.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Computer proficiency and the ability to use and interpret various electronic locating equipment.
• Available to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
• Ability to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to walk long distances, bend, kneel, and lift frequently (up to 75 lbs.).
• Ability to operate digging equipment or hand tools to bore 6-8 inches in depth.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to assigned outdoor job sites and perform locates and drop bury tickets as assigned.
• Reference records, maps, and prints to accurately locate and mark underground facilities.
• Utilize locating equipment and follow procedures to ensure accurate locates.
• Operate digging equipment or use hand tools to trench or bore cable lines (typically 6-8 inches).
• Use smartphone and company software to indicate time worked and tickets completed for billing.
