ELM Utility Services in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Utility Locate Technician. You will locate and mark underground utilities to prevent damage during excavation, using marking paint and flags.

You’ll work in a company vehicle and follow daily tasks via a mobile system, with some on-call shifts and possible overtime. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass DOT safety checks.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work and route marking to locate utilities with safety in mind.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks.
• DOT safety compliance and safety-sensitive responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark underground utilities using paint and flags.
• Work from a company-provided vehicle as a mobile office.
• Receive daily tasks via mobile work system and complete routes.
• On-call rotation and overtime may be required, including nights/weekends.
