ELM Utility Services is seeking Utility Locate Technicians to mark underground utilities and ensure safe excavation in the Akron, Ohio area. Technicians operate from a company vehicle and use marking paint, flags, and whiskers to identify lines, while handling daily tasks through a mobile work system.

The role requires passing a pre-employment drug test, MVR, and background check, plus a valid driver's license and 18+ years of age.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test, MVR, and background check.
• This is a safety-sensitive DOT position.
• 18+ years old and valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors with company vehicle as mobile office, completing daily locate requests.
• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Use mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• On-call rotation and overtime may be required, including nights and weekends.
