Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester/Work Planner to join our team. The role involves field work outdoors, planning patrols, and coordinating with landowners to ensure safe, compliant vegetation management for utility corridors.

The candidate should have a degree in forestry or related field, strong communication skills, and experience in GIS and Microsoft Office. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work in varied weather and terrain are required.

Qualifications

• Must have associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS software/technology.
• Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Patrol Preparation: organize records, maps, and paperwork; review sites for species and habitats.
• Field Patrol Duties: patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation actions per Client standards.
• Landowner & Stakeholder Engagement: communicate work plans and obtain permissions.
