Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join our vegetation management team. This role combines field patrols, data collection, and stakeholder engagement in energy corridor projects with professional autonomy and safety at the forefront.

Ideal candidates have forestry or natural resources education or equivalent experience, GIS and MS Office skills, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions while delivering high-quality, compliant work

Qualifications

• Degree or experience in forestry or natural resources.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related industries preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS/MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Patrol: Organize records, maps and paperwork; review sites for habitats and vegetation.
• Field Patrol: Identify vegetation needs, prune/remove/protect per standards; assess tree risk.
• Landowner & Stakeholder Engagement: Identify boundaries, communicate work plans, obtain permissions.
• Vegetation Management & Compliance: Recommend IVM strategies; audit contractor work and document findings.
• Coordination & Safety: Coordinate non-routine work; follow safety protocols; travel to sites.
• Additional Responsibilities: Participate in storm and emergency response; perform other duties.
