Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester/Work Planner to join our vegetation management team, focusing on field patrols, site assessments, and coordination with landowners in outdoor environments.

You will work independently and with a team to support energy corridors, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and ISA-principled practices. A valid driver’s license is required; ISA Arborist certification and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification; ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork; maintain accurate documentation.
• Review work sites for endangered species and habitats; assess vegetation.
• Patrol energy corridors; identify vegetation for pruning or removal per standards.
• Classify work and apply herbicide as needed; assess tree condition.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per directives.
• Engage landowners and agencies; obtain permissions.
• Communicate work plans; provide professional customer service.
• Coordinate non-routine work; report safety concerns and hazards.
• Participate in storm response; perform other duties.
