Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to work in outdoor settings, collaborating with utility clients, property owners, and contractors.

You will ensure safe, sustainable vegetation management practices while supporting the company’s mission and growth across national projects. Ideal candidates hold a forestry degree, ISA Arborist certification, and experience in utility line clearance, with willingness to become an ISA Utility Specialist within 6 months and

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field; utility line clearance experience
• Species identification skills and invasive species knowledge
• Minimum of two years in UVM consulting
• ISA Certified Arborist certification
• ISA Utility Specialist within 6 months
• Commercial Pesticide License within 6 months
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Willingness to travel and work in rugged terrain

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies for pruning/removals
• Conduct tree and brush inventories
• Perform hazard tree inspections and evaluations
• Manage capital projects onsite
• Conduct safety audits
• Collect field data including species, size, distance from conductors
• Verify data across databases and ensure reporting accuracy
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards around work area
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices
