Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking a Utility Field Technician to collect information and document overhead power-distribution infrastructure across designated service areas in Central & Southern Alabama. This field-based role involves outdoor work, travel, and independent work habits.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and comfort with maps and data-collection tools. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys of overhead power-distribution facilities.
• Locate, inspect, photograph, measure, and document poles, lines, transformers and related infrastructure.
• Record conditions, attachment details, clearances, and field context.
• Use maps and GIS-based tools to locate facilities and document information.
• Upload photographs, measurements, notes and project data.
• Plan daily routes and manage work across the designated field area.
• Communicate field conditions and access concerns with project teams.
• Follow safety requirements and perform other related duties.
