Job summary

The City of Peoria, AZ seeks a Transportation Technician I for the Signs and Striping Unit. This labor-intensive outdoor role supports maintaining over 800 miles of long-line striping and more than 24,000 traffic signs.

Prior experience in traffic maintenance, sign fabrication, or sign installation is a plus. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors in all weather, demonstrate basic to advanced construction knowledge, and work well in a team or solo settings.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalency; technical coursework preferred.
• 1 year experience in same or similar positions.
• Valid driver’s license at hire; CDL with Tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Striping maintenance and traffic sign installation.
• Fabrication and installation of traffic signs.
• Outdoor labor with heavy physical demands.
