Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Facility Traffic Coordinator in a fast-paced outdoor environment in Florida. You will manage the directional flow of vehicles, inspect loads, and serve as a primary contact for customers on site.

Responsibilities include directing traffic, communicating with operators, and ensuring compliance with safety policies while maintaining efficiency and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in construction, waste and recycling, transportation, manufacturing, warehousing, or a physically demanding environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stay alert and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely around moving vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Experience in landfill, transfer station, construction, or heavy industrial operations; a valid driver's license; bilingual abilities and traffic control or landfill certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the safe directional flow of customer vehicles, commercial trucks, and heavy equipment throughout the facility.
• Direct incoming traffic to disposal locations based on material type and needs.
• Perform visual inspections of loads to identify hazardous or prohibited materials.
• Communicate with heavy equipment operators and leadership about loads needing special handling.
• Monitor traffic patterns to maintain safe vehicle movement throughout the site.
• Assist customers with disposal procedures and provide professional service.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, environmental concerns, or equipment issues.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow safety policies.
