Job summary

High Steel Structures LLC in Lancaster, PA is hiring for a 1st-shift Outdoor Skilled Laborer to support steel bridge and girder projects. You will work outdoors, perform pre-punching, drilling, and rigging tasks, and assist with on-site iron work under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read and follow directions, and willingness to operate Mi-Jack equipment and drills. Valid PA driver’s license is required and forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Willingness to work outdoors 100% of the time, in all weather conditions.
Previous steel erection or general laborer experience preferred.
Experience using hand and power tools, including drills.
Forklift certification desired, or willingness to obtain while on the job.
The ability to read, write, and follow directions.
Prior experience in truck driving preferred
Willingness to learn and operate Mi-Jack equipment
A valid PA driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

Pre-punch or pre-drilled holes at splice section of steel bridge girders.
Match marks plates, as necessary.
Walk with and guide the MI Jack; chain products to trucks; set blocking for loading and storing products.
Assist with onsite iron work duties.
Use electric drills to drill holes where needed.
