Job summary

Remedy Intelligent Staffing is seeking a 1st Shift Welder / Fabricator to join our client in Carlisle. The candidate should have welding, construction or concrete experience and be open to a full-time position.

Pay ranges from $23.00 to $26.00 per hour, DOE, with hours 6:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Duties include welding, fabricating structural steel and reading blueprints, with outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Heavy MIG welding experience; 2-year trade school preferred or equivalent experience.
• Stick and wire welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Position could involve working outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold.

Responsibilities

• Prep, fit, cut, drill and weld various structural steel assemblies.
• Monitor inventory and submit orders as needed, review and establish daily plans.
• Read specifications or blueprints to determine locations, quantities, or sizes of materials required.
• Unload and position prefabricated steel units for hoisting.
• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
• Fasten structural steel members to hoist cables, using chains, cables, or rope.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment.
• Fabricate metal parts, such as steel frames, columns, beams, or girders, according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Measure, cut and bend rebar.
• Examine work pieces and defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications

Our client is looking for an individual with welding, construction or concrete experience. The ideal candidate will be looking for a full-time opportunity and come from a skilled trade with a proven track on job longevity. Located in Carlisle.

Pay: $23.00-$26.00/ hour (DOE)

Hours: 6:00am-6:00pm (Mon – Friday)
