Job summary

Sun Outdoors in Citra, FL is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician (Part Time) to perform routine and preventative maintenance across the resort. The role involves outdoor work, grounds care, and guest-focused service, with on-call availability during non-business hours.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, inspections, cleaning, and coordinating with contractors. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort (Preferred)
• General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
• Ability to provide legible written reports
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Basic computer skills including email and internet
• On-call availability

Responsibilities

• Empty trash, perform maintenance or repair duties with power tools and hand tools
• Complete minor repairs to rental units and facilities
• Perform routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs
• Inspect irrigation, playgrounds, pools, and other amenities
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, and curb appeal
• Ensure resort cleanliness and safety across common areas
• Operate safety procedures and drive as required between sites
• Assist Resort Manager with supervision of contractors
• Report maintenance issues to the manager
• Maintain resort streets free of hazards
