Job summary

Bell Lumber & Pole seeks a Yard Laborer/Framer to trim and prepare poles for framing, ensure proper face alignment, and mark materials to specification. This is an outdoor, full-time role in New Brighton, MN.

You will work on quality control, measuring poles for ANSI, AWPA, ASTM, and REA standards, and assist with related operations. Training provided; overtime may be required in peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Outdoor work in variable weather; heavy equipment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Remove bark and trim poles with hand or power tools.
• Set faces of poles to specifications and mark positions.
• Measure ground lines and tops for ANSI/AWPA/ASTM/REA standards.
• Identify defects and apply grading rules per standards.
• Drill holes accurately per framing instructions.
• Prepare ground-line on poles and apply customer markings.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
