State of Montana is seeking a Maintenance Worker 2 to support the Missoula Regional Headquarters, responsible for maintaining state parks, fishing access, and wildlife areas in the Blackfoot drainage. The role requires expertise in building and maintaining fences in mountainous terrain and weed control across challenging locations.

Applicants should be familiar with GPS mapping, weed herbicides, and operating heavy and light equipment.

Qualificações

• Extensive knowledge in building and maintaining fences in mountainous terrain.
• Experience with weed spraying in difficult terrain (backpack, UTV boom, spot spraying, ATV spraying).
• Knowledge of bio-control, mapping weed infestations, and using GPS to record spray tracts and waypoints.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain state parks, fishing access sites, and wildlife management areas.
• Repair, maintain and improve habitat areas, vegetation, grounds and facilities.
• Work with the regional maintenance team and, if needed, act as Lead Crew or supervisor.
• Assist in establishing workflows for regular or routine tasks.
• Coordinate across geographic units as circumstances require.
