Job summary

Forsyth County Parks & Recreation seeks a Maintenance Technician I to work outdoors at Tanglewood Park on a full-time basis. The role focuses on proper operation and daily/weekly maintenance of John Deere equipment, mowing large areas, and general grounds upkeep.

Responsibilities include bush hogging, road scraping, leaf blowing, and using assorted tractors with preventive maintenance and light repairs. A valid driver’s license is required and high school diploma or GED is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with some grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mower and other power equipment as assigned.
• Perform general grounds maintenance: shrub beds, trimming, leaf removal, grading.
• Assist with special events and snow removal as needed.
• Perform light repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment.
