City of Greensboro is seeking a Park Attendant at Barber Park to help keep public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. You will support grounds maintenance, custodial tasks, and visitor services while upholding park rules and safety protocols.

The role offers part-time evening and weekend shifts, with roster-based hours up to 1,000 per year, and opportunities for growth within the Parks and Recreation Department.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in customer service is required.
• Janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Open, monitor, close, and secure the park and facilities.
• Patrol park areas and report suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Explain and enforce park rules in a respectful manner.
• Provide friendly, responsive customer service to visitors.
• Perform grounds and landscape tasks: mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, litter removal.
• Operate light vehicles and equipment used for park maintenance.
• Perform custodial duties: clean restrooms, sweep, mop, and restock supplies.
• Inspect playgrounds and facilities and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with events and crowd control as needed.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and attend trainings.
