Job summary

The City of Greensboro, NC Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Park Attendant for Barber Park. This roster-based, part-time position focuses on keeping public spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for communities to enjoy along with hands-on grounds maintenance and excellent customer service.

You will support park operations, assist during events, and ensure a positive experience for visitors at Barber Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Experience with customer service required.

Responsibilities

• Open, monitor, close, and secure the park and facilities.
• Patrol park and athletic facilities and report unsafe activity.
• Explain and enforce park rules professionally.
• Provide friendly, responsive customer service to visitors.
• Perform grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, edging, and litter removal.
• Operative duties for park equipment and vehicles.
• Conduct custodial duties to keep facilities clean and inviting.
• Assist with events and crowd control as needed.
