Job summary

Ross Incineration Services in Ohio seeks a physically capable employee to support heavy equipment operation and daily plant tasks. The role requires lifting, standing for long periods, and frequent outdoor work in all weather conditions.

You will participate in extensive safety and regulatory trainings (RCRA, procedures) and perform repackaging and loading duties, equipment operation, and site maintenance. PPE with full-face respirator is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate successful work history including standing, bending, stooping and lifting.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation including but not limited to: Tow motor, forklift, skid steer, track loader, backhoe, TLB, excavator, farm/ag tractor for mowing, weed trimmer, chainsaw, pole saw, backpack sprayer, 5000PSI power washers, various manlifts up to 120ft.
• Exposure to outside work in all seasons and weather.
• Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at elevated heights and on platforms, and wear full suit PPE with full face respirator.

Responsibilities

• Complete required safety training, operational procedures training, RCRA training, equipment and machine training and other required trainings.
• Assists with building and grounds activities (snow removal and lawn care).
• Performs repackaging of bulk customer waste and Ross-generated waste using dump trucks and excavators.
• Performs repackaging from customer containers (drums, Gaylords, totes, Wranglers).
• weighs and sets up containers, off-loads containers onto east pad for repackaging.
• Labels and barcodes containers and operates barcode scanners.
• Loads palletized containers onto flatbeds for transport to Container Storage Facility.
• Shovels/loading ash and other debris; repairs and replaces tarps.
• Maintains incinerator and Closed Loop Cooling Tower Systems during plant shut-down.
• Operates off-road equipment and works outdoors in a plant environment with noise and dust.
• Enters confined spaces as required and per safety policies.
