Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Small Equipment Operator to support loading, unloading, and transporting baled materials and loose waste at our Columbus, OH facility. You will operate forklifts, bobcats, and related equipment, perform pre-trip inspections, and help maintain a safe work environment.

The role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Must have General Education Diploma or better.
• High School diploma or better.
• Must be able to read and speak English to communicate and follow safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe driving while transporting, loading, and unloading materials.
• Safely stack baled material without endangering personnel or equipment.
• Organize and secure stored materials per policy.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment.
• Weigh, tag, log, and prepare baled materials for transport.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
