Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking dependable Highway Maintenance Workers to join our maintenance team in Bingen and Stevenson, WA. The role involves outdoor work operating equipment to maintain state highways and related infrastructure, with a 40-hour week and rotational night shifts.

The position requires CDL licensing (Class A or B with N endorsement) or ability to obtain within 12 months, plus safety training and equipment operation skills.

Qualifications

• Journey-Level Highway & Roadway Maintenance experience.
• Foundational Highway & Roadway Maintenance experience.
• Licensing: CDL with N endorsement (or ability to obtain within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance equipment and vehicles to complete maintenance and repair activities.
• Repair and maintain pavement, drainage, signs, guardrails, and roadside infrastructure.
• Perform vegetation management, erosion control, and debris removal.
• Operate snow and ice control equipment and haul materials to keep roadways open.
