Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in roadway maintenance, heavy equipment operation, or related work.
• Ability to obtain CDL with N endorsement within 12 months of hire.
• Familiarity with MUTCD traffic control practices and work zones.
• Proficiency with timekeeping, maintenance tracking, inventory management, and cost estimating systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance equipment and vehicles to perform repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain pavement, drainage, signs, guardrails, and roadside infrastructure.
• Set up traffic control, flagging, and lane closures.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with partner agencies as needed.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and lead a crew when required.
