Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking a Groundskeeper in Greensboro, NC to maintain the exterior areas of our community. This entry-level role focuses on cleanliness, light landscaping, and supporting a welcoming environment.

You will contribute to curb appeal and help with light upkeep of outdoor amenities, sign posts, and common areas while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Understanding and knowledge of yardwork and general facility maintenance.
• One year of maintenance, repair, or HVAC experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cleaning and pick-up of debris or trash throughout exterior areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, breezeways, parking lots, green spaces, and community signage areas.
• Ensure community trash receptacles, compactor areas, and pet stations are well-maintained and free of debris or large items around the perimeter.
• Assist with light landscaping tasks including raking, weeding, trimming, and watering as directed by the maintenance team.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of pool deck areas, courtyards, grilling stations, benches, and outdoor amenities.
• Assist the maintenance team with light painting of curbs, signposts, and exterior touch-ups as needed.
• Conduct light checks around the property and replace breezeway or exterior bulbs as needed.
• Help maintain shop and storage areas in a clean and organized manner to support quick inventory assessment.
• Assist with preparation of vacant, unoccupied apartments with light cleaning or removal of debris as requested
• Assist the team with the distribution of communications to residents’ doors.
• Assist the maintenance team with seasonal tasks including storm/snow preparation or cleanup.
• Promote good professional relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff.
