Job summary

Arlington Properties, LLC is seeking a Groundskeeper at our Portier Midtown community in Mobile, AL. You’ll keep grounds clean, assist with routine maintenance, and ensure safe, inviting spaces for residents, including walkways and pool areas where applicable.

You’ll work with a supportive maintenance team, handle seasonal tasks, and contribute to a well-kept property with opportunities for growth and employee discounts. The role emphasizes reliability and safe outdoor duties.

Qualifications

• No prior maintenance or landscaping experience required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks daily.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Keep the grounds, walkways, stairways, and public areas clean and debris-free.
• Assist with routine property maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Report repair and maintenance needs to the Service Manager.
• Perform basic maintenance and help prepare units for new residents.
• Maintain neat and organized work and storage areas.
• Support the maintenance team with move-outs and turnovers.
• Help with seasonal tasks such as snow or leaf removal.
• Clean and maintain pool areas (where applicable).
• Adhere to all safety and company policies.
