Job summary

Qualifications

• Clear communication in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to read and follow handwritten/printed work orders and reports.

Responsibilities

• Practice OSHA standards, company safety policy and stay aware of work-safety requirements.
• Water all potted plants daily and tend to new foliage as directed by the community manager.
• Water lawn, shrubs and flowers; mow, trim, fertilize and rake lawns; trim shrubs and small trees; spray insecticides; maintain watering and drainage systems.
• Paint exterior of buildings; pick up litter/trash daily; clean and maintain exterior light fixtures; replace light bulbs; install and maintain fences and gates; care for pools; assist with inventory controls and upkeep of grounds equipment and supplies; assist with after-hour emergencies.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment following manufacturer guidance; maintain lawn and cleaning equipment; pressure wash/blow walks and breezeways; assist with pool area cleanliness.
• Participate in standby emergency schedule for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances to supervisor; maintain professional appearance and uniforms.
• Assist in custodial work: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash and pet stations, cleaning windows; assist team members as needed.
