Job summary

Scheels in Texas is seeking a Hardlines Service Shop Associate to provide world-class customer service and support growth through efficient product assembly and repair of hunting, fishing, and outdoor gear.

You will be an expert in assembling diverse merchandise, with responsibilities including firearms and archery repairs and maintaining detailed records. A 21+ age is required for firearms compliance; this is a part-time evening/weekend role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates or 1–2 years related experience and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read safety rules, maintenance instructions, and manuals.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently maintain and assemble customer and store equipment including firearms, scopes, archery gear, reels, grills.
• Keep accurate records for equipment and customers.
• Perform archery repairs: bow setup, tuning, arrows; firearms repairs: mounting scopes and optics, bore sighting.
• Ensure a clean, professional work environment and strong customer service.
• Read and follow safety rules and procedural manuals; perform basic math as needed.
