Job summary

Black Diamond Equipment in Boulder is seeking a Level 1 Retail Associate to deliver exceptional customer experience with deep knowledge of climbing, skiing and mountaineering. You will assist customers, process transactions, manage backstock, and help keep the sales floor looking its best.

The role requires strong communication, POS competency, and willingness to guide customers of all levels in gear selection, rentals and product information. Indoor store environment with physical duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 6 months of retail sales experience required.
• Preferred: 1 year retail sales in outdoor specialty store.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with information, advice and service.
• Accurate entry of merchandise, payments and customer details in the POS system.
• Resolve issues involving customer relations and satisfaction.
• Fit customers properly for rental/demo equipment.
• Maintain store’s clean, organized appearance.
• Restocking and managing backstock including lifting gear.
• Open and close the store in the absence of management.
