Job summary

Black Diamond Equipment, Ltd. seeks a part-time Sales Associate Lead for our West Valley outlet store near Salt Lake City, UT. The role combines frontline sales with leadership duties to ensure an outstanding customer experience and smooth daily operations.

You will coach fellow sales staff, manage POS transactions, assist with merchandise, and support opening/closing procedures while delivering product knowledge in outdoor gear and backcountry skiing.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Work experience: 6 months of retail sales; 1 year preferred in outdoor specialty.
• Able to lead and mentor sales staff; coach and inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with information, advice, and service.
• Ensure a high-level customer experience; supervise staff in lead role.
• Assist with POS transactions and accurate merchandise entry.
• Resolve customer issues and satisfaction concerns.
• Assist with rental/demo equipment and stock merchandise.
• Open/close the store and place special orders for customers.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers; support store operations.
