Job summary

National Garden Service is seeking a Garden Center Merchandiser for a part-time, seasonal role in Johnstown, OH. You will display outdoor plants, maintain and water displays, and ensure correct signage while working with store staff.

You will develop watering plans with the floral department, interact with customers, document visits with the Go Spot Check app, and help keep displays safe and appealing throughout the store's service area.

Qualifications

• Part-time, seasonal position.
• Must have a smartphone and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift, push and carry up to 30 lbs repetitively.
• Willing to work outdoors in heat, cold and rain.

Responsibilities

• Display a variety of outdoor plants
• Maintain product displays
• Water all plant materials
• Develop a watering plan with the floral department manager for additional support as needed
• Ensure proper signage is in place
• Maintain a safe and clean display area
• Remove and record expired plant material
• Interacting with store personnel and customers
• Develop a positive working relationship with store management and associates
• Complete report for each store serviced
• Document every visit using the Go Spot Check app

As a Garden Center Merchandiser, your workday will include:

• Display a variety of outdoor plants
• Maintain product displays
• Water all plant materials
• Develop a watering plan with the floral department manager for additional support as needed
• Ensure proper signage is in place
