Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to join our field operations team in Adrian, MI. This full-time position focuses on planning vegetation management activities, coordinating crews, and ensuring safety and efficiency on-site.

You will work outdoors, document progress, and use tablets and GIS tools to enter data and track work orders. Ideal candidates have a background in vegetation management or related fields, are comfortable hiking daily, and can communicate clearly with clients and team

Qualifications

• Must be able to hike/walk Right-of-Ways and drive/operate a vehicle for extended periods.
• Knowledge of tree species identification and vegetation management practices.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with data entry on tablets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Safely navigate to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles/day.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software; use GIS data entry and tracking.
• Communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, and the public to resolve issues.
• Participate in emergency response duties as needed.
