Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians in Missouri to collect data on electric utilities and fiber projects. This outdoor role requires hiking between pole spans; training is provided.

The job involves routine overnight travel, typically 1–2 weeks away from home, with weekends at home and occasional longer stays. Responsibilities include data collection, submitting organized project data, operating tablets and cameras, representing Osmose in the field, daily

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications or electrical systems is a plus.
• Ability to hike and work outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
• Willingness to travel overnight 1–2 weeks at a time.
• Good reading of GPS maps and following data collection instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Work in outdoor environments to collect field data for fiber and utility projects.
• Submit organized data, maps, notes, and photos for each project.
• Operate and maintain tablets, cameras, measuring tools, and PPE.
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field and with customers.
• Communicate daily with project management and follow safety guidelines.
• Travel and work outdoors with minimal supervision.
