Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect field data on outdoor telecom and electric facilities. The role requires hiking between spans to capture data for outside plant engineering and fiber optic projects.

The position involves routine overnight travel 1–2 weeks at a time, with home weekends and occasional longer assignments. Training will be provided to perform all duties in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of outdoor work experience.
• Ability to read GPS maps and operate basic tech.
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outdoor environment to collect field data for fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized data including maps, field notes and images.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as tablet, camera and measuring tools.
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field with customers.
• Communicate daily with the project management team.
