Job summary

Coyle Outside is seeking an Outdoors Educator Manager to lead year-round, outdoor-first programs for youth, develop curricula, and mentor staff. The role centers on delivering immersive, curriculum-driven activities outdoors, in all seasons, with a strong emphasis on safety, community, and program quality.

You will collaborate with partners, communicate weekly with families, supervise instructors, and help expand offerings including potential overnight experiences; a passion for nature and youth

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years outdoor teaching experience.
• Leadership experience in outdoor settings.
• Strong risk management and safety mindset.
• Outdoor First Aid training or equivalent.
• Experience mentoring and supervising instructors.
• Passion for outdoor education and youth development.

Responsibilities

• Lead 100% outdoors, year‑round programs for youth.
• Collaborate with co-staff during programs.
• Manage behavior/risk in outdoor environments.
• Develop and elevate curriculum for current offerings and new classes.
• Send weekly communications to parents.
• Regular check-ins with administration.
• Support and give feedback to instructor team.
• Coordinate with Parks & Rec and non-profit partners.
