Job summary

Sherman Lake YMCA's School Camping Integrated Education program seeks a Program Coordinator to lead and deliver outdoor, character-based programming, guiding instructors and serving as the primary contact for teachers and campers.

You will coordinate overnight and day groups, mentor staff, ensure safety, and foster youth development in a beautiful outdoor setting. This seasonal, full-time role includes on-site housing, free certification opportunities, YMCA membership, and pro-deal benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Available Monday–Friday with overnights.
• Willingness to obtain Basic Life Support & First Aid certifications (provided).
• Must have at least four seasons of camp experience, including one full Sherman Lake IE season.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead overnight and day school groups.
• Support and mentor I.E. instructors through coaching and feedback.
• Serve as a key contact with partner teachers and school representatives.
• Maintain student and staff safety with professional and vigilant supervision.
• Facilitate activities like welcoming ceremonies, meals, team building, and more.
