Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking staff for its camp program to provide outdoor environmental and challenge education during the fall season. The role involves leading school groups and family camps, teaching daily classes, and facilitating a variety of activities at a seasonal residential camp with on-site housing.

Candidates should be 18+, have at least one season of environmental education experience, and possess strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• At least one season of experience teaching environmental education.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Other combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality outdoor education program to school groups and weekend family camps.
• Communicate ideas and concerns openly and model a service-minded attitude.
• Prepare and teach Environmental and Challenge Education classes daily.
• Facilitate activities (crafts, archery, rowing, games, campfires) daily.
• Attend required meetings and trainings and follow YMCA policies.
