Job summary

South Shore YMCA's Camp Burgess & Hayward seeks an Outdoor Education Director to lead and expand the rental program for fall to spring bookings, excluding summer.

You will hire, train, and supervise 10–15 seasonal educators, coordinate with food service and facilities, and develop curriculum and marketing strategies.

This full-time, year-round role includes on-site housing and requires experience in outdoor education, teambuilding, and working with youth aged 10–18.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching outdoor education and teambuilding programs.
• Experience working with students ages 10–18.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees the rental program to meet community needs and YMCA objectives.
• Hires, trains, and supervises 10–15 seasonal Outdoor Educators.
• Builds relationships with school and group representatives and coordinates itineraries.
• Manages budget, invoices, and program supplies; ensures facilities are well-maintained.
