YMCA Camp MacLean in Burlington, WI is seeking an Outdoor Education Instructor to assist the Program Director in delivering outdoor education and group services. You will ensure a safe, interactive, and enriching experience for participants while upholding safety protocols and program standards.

The role involves teaching outdoor education classes, supporting group rentals, and participating in trainings and meetings. Housing is provided, and a seasonal schedule may require nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in outdoor education settings or camp programs.
• Ability to supervise program participants with safety and policy adherence.
• Proven ability to engage diverse groups in outdoor activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, engaging environment for participants.
• Supervise participants age-appropriately and ensure safety.
• Interact with participants and staff as a positive role model.
• Prepare daily/weekly lesson plans and ensure materials are ready.
• Maintain clean and well-organized program areas and supplies.
• Teach outdoor education classes to schools and retreat groups.
