Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a motivated construction helper to contribute to drilling and blasting projects. You will work outdoors, follow safety procedures, and learn hands-on under supervision.

Starting pay is $18–$20 per hour with travel stipends; benefits include health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, plus ESOP and a company-matched 401(k). This role requires safety-minded individuals who can handle outdoor work in varying weather and may involve

Qualifications

• Must be safety-minded and able to work well outdoors in varying weather environments.
• Valid drivers license with good driving record and own transportation.
• Must successfully pass ATF screenings.
• Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Must adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies
• Physical agility
• Submit the following records to Blaster/Foreman on a Weekly basis: Accurate and Signed Time Card
• Ability to quickly learn safety aspects of working construction sites and working around explosives
• Ability to take direction and perform construction laboring activities
• Ability to work unsupervised occasionally
• Pump blast holes dry with water pump
• Load and unload explosives from truck
• Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes
• Maintain clean and organize job site
• Other duties as assigned
• Attend all meetings
• Participate in monthly Foreman, periodic safety and job meetings as needed
• Participate in daily heads up safety meetings
