Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Laborer-Construction to support drilling and blasting operations. You will follow safety procedures and work under the guidance of Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor, or Drill Operators.

This role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, and willingness to travel and work overtime. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour plus a $150 weekly travel allowance.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with good driving record and own transportation.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must successfully pass criminal background check for ATF.
• Experience with construction laborer is helpful, but not necessary.
• Ability to learn and develop skills to later perform higher level tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies.
• Submit weekly records to Blaster/Foreman: Accurate and Signed Time Card.
• Learn safety aspects of working construction sites and around explosives.
• Take direction and perform construction laboring activities.
• Work unsupervised occasionally.
• Pump blast holes dry with water pump.
• Load and unload explosives from truck.
• Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes.
• Maintain clean and organized job site.
• Participate in safety meetings and daily heads up sessions.
• Other duties as assigned.
