Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc invites applications for a Laborer-Construction role. You will perform safety-conscious construction labor, including handling materials, loading explosives, and assisting drill operators under supervision. Travel for training (6–8 weeks) is required, with occasional overtime and varied weather conditions.

Earns $21 per hour plus a $150/week vehicle/travel allowance, with strong emphasis on safety and team collaboration as the company expands along the east coast.

Qualifications

• Must be safety-minded and able to work in varying weather environments.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass criminal background check for ATF.
• Willing to travel to northern divisions for 6-8 weeks for training (paid).
• Experience with construction laborer is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies.
• Submit weekly records to Blaster/Foreman: accurate and signed time card.
• Learn safety aspects of construction sites and handling explosives.
• Perform construction laboring activities and follow directions.
• Work unsupervised when required.
• Load/unload explosives from trucks; carry stemming stone.
• Maintain clean and organized job site; participate in safety meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
