Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a General Laborer at Clyde, NC to support concrete and civil construction operations on outdoor sites. You will perform hands-on tasks, assist with forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup, and work as part of a safety‑conscious crew.

Farming or agricultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply due to physical work requirements. Candidates should be willing to work day or night shifts, including Saturdays, and have a dependable work ethic.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, concrete, farming, ranching, or agricultural work preferred.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Able to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with concrete operations including forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup.
• Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, lifting, carrying materials, and site cleanup.
• Operate hand tools and small equipment as directed.
• Follow safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe jobsite.
• Work collaboratively with foremen, operators, and crew members.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project needs.
