Job summary

Ames Construction, Inc. in Clyde, NC is seeking a General Laborer to support concrete and civil construction operations on outdoor job sites. You will perform a variety of physically demanding tasks as part of a dedicated crew.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, concrete, farming, ranching, or agricultural work preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work day or night shifts, including Saturdays if required.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with concrete operations including forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup
• Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, lifting, carrying materials, and site cleanup
• Operate hand tools and small equipment as directed
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe jobsite
• Work collaboratively with foremen, operators, and crew members
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project needs
