Shirley Contracting Company is seeking General Laborers to join our team across multiple Virginia sites. The role involves outdoor work, operating near heavy equipment, and complying with safety rules. Start times vary, with overtime, nights and weekends possible.

Qualifications

• Work in outdoor environments in all seasons.
• Communicate clearly with operators, workers and pedestrians.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces with PPE.
• Be capable of moderate to heavy lifting and physical tasks.
• Have working knowledge of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform flagging and traffic closures as assigned.
• Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches and install bracing.
• Install erosion and sediment controls as required.
• Perform manual labor to support projects.
• Wear PPE and follow safety rules during all tasks.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
