Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in recreation, outdoor education, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in managing and providing instruction in recreational sports programming.
  • Supervisory experience of staff or students.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and facility management software.

Responsibilities

  • Staff Supervision: recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate student employees.
  • Rock Wall area supervision: oversee daily operations of indoor climbing wall and bouldering area with safe procedures.
  • Adventure Programming and Trip Management: design, implement, and evaluate outdoor programs including trips and clinics; manage logistics and permits.
  • Equipment Rentals: manage inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and rental policies via software.
  • Risk Management: develop and evaluate risk management plans; ensure compliance with policies and regulations; conduct inspections.
  • Special Event programming: develop experiential team-building programs and revenue-generating events.
