Job summary

Mount Saint Mary's University seeks a Student Worker in Recreation & Wellness to lead Outdoor Adventure programs, schedule trips, and ensure safety. The role supports the Director of Recreation & Wellness and provides hands-on experience in outdoor activities.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as Mount student and at least 18 years old.
• Experience and/or interest in a variety of outdoor activities.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and sound judgment.
• Collaborate well with peers to establish a team environment.
• Attend training workshops and assigned programs.
• Strong leadership and group facilitation skills.
• Hold or be willing to obtain the following certifications: CPR/AED, WFA, Van Driving.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and plan trips, events, experiences, and excursions.
• Perform pre- and post-trip logistics and administrative tasks.
• Maintain, clean, and organize all program equipment and storage areas.
• Assist in maintaining records and documentation for programs and events.
• Promote and advertise Outdoor Adventures and Recreation & Wellness events.
• Provide positive public relations and program promotion.
• Adhere to policy and procedures.
• Assist with planning and staffing the Banff Film Festival fundraiser.
